Summer's nearly over, and what have I gotten accomplished? Drank a lot of beer, drank a lot of gin, drank waaaaayyyy too much rum last week, punched a screen window out and broke some kid's nose. Oh well. I'm running on a creative streak and I've been drawing more lately: expect to see more updates, and hopefully even more when I return to school in September.

I decided to start my own version of Shepard Fairey's 'Andre the Giant Has a Posse/OBEY' campaign. Not like mine is anything extensive as his or even as original, but what Fairey did when he was at RISD was just make a shit-ton of stickers and flyers and circulated them like crazy. So I took an older piece of art ([link]), made a flyer at my school last week, and made a bunch of copies. I'm lazy and this is a fast, free way to get my shit out there.

I'm starting a new series called "ROCK YOUR SOUL!" (This is part of my campaign.) All I'm doing is taking a) a quote I like, or b) a simple idea out of the blue. Then, refusing all external inspiration/reference or anyone else input, I draw. I just uploaded the lineart for the first part, "Shape Your World," and there will be more to follow. Also, I am working on a few other side projects, and I have my very first official commercial design (to be on dA very soon).
